Sustainability Initiatives

We are continually improving production methods to save energy, decrease waste and reduce our environmental impact.
Fibre by Auskin production practices reflect our company values. We use innovative processes to minimise damage to the environment. We are mindful of how we source raw materials, reduce our energy consumption and manage the inputs and outputs of production. We consider our environmental footprint when transporting raw materials and finished products globally.
We are continually working to improve our production systems to build a more environmentally sustainable business. We have made exceptional gains by reducing our waste and managing the use of energy. As recognition for a high standard of production, Auskin has successfully achieved the Oeko-Tex 100 certification in both Class 1 for Ivory and Class 2 for Ivory and for all of our light and medium coloured long wool and short wool products.
Wherever possible we use recycled & ethically sourced materials for the packaging, filling and labelling of our products. Our polyester fibre fills, care labels and polybags are all made from recycled materials; furniture foams are sourced from off cuts; and paper labels and packaging are made from FSC certified wood sources.
Our first choice for fabrics when we combine them with sheepskin are always natural fibres like flax linen, cotton or wool.
Our philosophy is to provide safe sheepskin products, of the highest quality, produced with the lowest possible impact on the environment.
